Following the installation of KB5025221 for Windows 10 and KB5025239 for Windows 11, many users have reported unusual behavior from Google Chrome. Rather than opening the browser, the Default Apps Settings page appears. Th kiis issue seems to be widespread after receiving the April 2023 Patch Tuesday updates for these versions. Although this problem is concerning for users who rely on Google Chrome, several temporary solutions are available. However, Microsoft has not yet recognized this bug as a known issue. Until a permanent solution is provided, we will outline some solutions to help launch Google Chrome successfully despite this problem.
