Bluetooth is famous all over the world to
transfer data from one device to another Bluetooth compatible device. In Windows 10, Bluetooth icon exists on
the Notification area of the Taskbar. Whenever you click on icon you will get
two options send a file and receive a
file which are used to transfer data. But one time I found it missing from
there and to bring it we updated its driver or re-installed it. If you have also
same problem with your Bluetooth then you can do what I did. How can driver be
updated or installed is being written under.
Steps to repair missing option of
send a file and receive a file of Bluetooth on windows 10 –
#. First of all, update
Bluetooth driver using device
manager.
#. If both option do not back then uninstall driver and re-install
it. If problem is still not solved then do as written under.
#. Launch Run
command using Windows and R keys
together at a time.
#. In run command field, type regedit and click on Ok.
#. You will see User
Account Control prompt on screen, click on Yes to open Registry Editor Window.
#. Go ahead using path mentioned under in left pane of
the Registry Editor.
HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINE-> SYSTEM->
CurrentControlSet - > Services -> BTHPORT-> Parameters.
#. On right pane of Registry Editor, right click on Disable Fsquirt
whose value is set as 1 and click on Delete
option.
#. After it confirm
value delete window will appear on screen, click on Yes to Confirm Value Delete
#. Now close
Registry Editor and Open elevated
Command Prompt.
#. In command prompt, type fsquirt.exe-register and press Enter
key.
#. Now Restart your
computer and check Send a File and
Receive a File option by right clicking on Bluetooth icon on taskbar. You
will sure get it.
